Hello all,
I find that the houdini smoke and pyro solvers are very sensitive to changing the resolution of the simulation. When developing the look of a simulation you sort of have to work in final res.
f I start low res and like the behavior I get, I would hope that it would just be a matter of turning up the resolution and let it cook overnight. However, the outcome is completely different most of the time.
I realize there are a lot of variables feeding into the simulation that could be affected, but I was wondering if people have figured out the most important settings to keep an eye on. Also in other solvers I have used, this seemed less of an issue, I wonder if people have opinions on this.
Cheers,
Koen
