Desert Explosions

Hi Ive been racking my brain on how to accomplish this effect.

I found a video of the element breakdown but I cant seem to get the shapes that are being produced by the particles.

Ive tried a couple solutions with no success. Does anybody know of a method to accomplishing this?

Im really in need and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not an expert, i never did that before but i'll try the following :

- I'll shape the explosion with curves and add a “edge_dir” attribute.

- I'll do a popnet and direct the velocity of the particles with the curves (in a vop force with a point cloud open & filter to get the closest “edge_dir”).
-I'll merge it with a radial explosion of particles for the base.

- I'll use the particles to generate fuel and then i'll simulate the pyro from that fuel.
