I am using polyline to generate trails and I am having trouble figuring out how to render them with smooth shading.
For both point and vertex have tried adjusting the normals, fuse, etc but it seems to have no effect
am I missing something? My renders always show faceting on curved areas. The only option I can find is to resample to add more points.

You can render them as subdivision curves. In your geometry OBJ node, look for Render -> Geometry -> Render Polygon Curves As Subdivision
