I've found some odd behaviour when using CHOPs combined with a Popnet. In the attached example, I have a simple popnet which births some particles with some noise for motion. I'm feeding that into a Channel SOP which snags the output of a CHOPnet which is adding a little lag to the particles. In the CHOPnet I'm grabbing the incoming data with a Geometry CHOP, followed by a Lag CHOP. Quite straightforward. However, I'm finding that doing alterations to the POP network isn't being recooked. For instance, after playing it once, change the Source Pop's Attribute/Variance/varx to something huge, and you should see particles firing off to the left and right, but it doesn't here on 8.0.481. However, if I go to the Lag CHOP, and click on the “Unload” toggle, it kicks in. Note that this is behaving inappropriately because it doesn't matter whether that toggle is on or off, this happens. The act of turning it on or off(either way) gives Houdini the kick to recook.
I also tried clearing all caching, no result.
Thanks
