Render manager on raspberry pi?

So I've got a raspberry pi, a synology NAS, and two render nodes (two windows 7 workstations).

Right now one of my render nodes is my hqueue server. I'd like to have something low power host that process so I was thinking the pi might be a good candidate for that… but it's the totally wrong architecture!

Anyone ever tried to run hqueue server (or any other render management software for houdini) on a pi?

Nope! It was a while ago but I don’t think I ever got it working.

I’ve kinda given up rendering anything lengthy at home and just use a service. I do some work with Redshift on a rig with a decent card and that helps.
