This rings a bell, but I can't remember the solution. Regardless, it's certainly not behaving properly. If I have a sequence

foo.0232.tif, foo.0235.tif, foo.0237.tif…

The File COP doesn't parse this properly. It puts in “232 to xx by 2's” in the resulting field, but this generates a consistent error state. I hacked around it by removing that text, then passing it through a timescale. Bleh.
