H17 Autorig's hand catpure problem

Hi

I got a problem with the autorig system. It's like a lag in the interpolation and I got ‘popup’ in the skin every 25 frames.
It seems to happen only on the hands.

I try on the production 17.0352 and the last daily build, with a new scene, the tommy guy and the basic autorig and I got the same problem.

Sure.

Like i said, it does not seem to be related to my scene.
So I just replicate the problem in a new scene with H17.0.352

1. Create tommy
2. Create autorig biped
3. Adjust the arm / legs etc (I don't know why it doesnt match the test geometry by default)
4. Generate without errors.
5. Key the hand controller
6. My problem.

weird - it looks like the constraints for the fingers are just taking a break on a couple of frames…

I can see the issue in your file, but I can't reproduce it in H17.0.416 - this is the latest Production Build
can you try building the same asset from a new session in 416?

I downloaded and installed the last available build - H17.0.417
Unfortunately the problem persists on my side

Well if you can't reproduce it, then maybe it s related to some cached data ?

I know what the issue is - there was a change made in the way constraints are built right around the same time that these modules were being made, and the autorigs didn't get updated - I'll make the change and replay back here when it's done…

Hi

I seem to have a similar recurring problem with the autorig, after keyframing the hand controls start twitching.

I'm using Houdini 17.0.459

Was the above issue ever resolved?

just tried it in Houdini 17.0.502
and it seems fine.
