Currently, I only tested it to load Megascan 3d assets for Mantra successfully, but nothing else. There are other modifications (especially for renderer other than Mantra) that I would miss. I suggest we all work together to update the Megascan Houdini plugin that works the way we want!

Nice! I have the same ongoing project (ported bridge to py3 and now making some improvements)

I moved the entire asset export to the sop level (so all assets are sop subnetworks instead of obj) with packing, optional merging all exports in one output, lod switcher on spare parameters etc. Just a basic QoL features.

Basically the main focus was on simplifying workflow for creating "palettes": a geo with named packed primitives.

Though it became a completely custom thing and I also have zero interest in usd, so I'm not sure how to integrate this in the current plugin.

I'll try to figure something out and push some requests to your repo...

they finally did it 6 days ago, now we have to wait another year for py3 support.

I'm running 18.5.532 python3 build on Linux Mint, bridge seems to work just fine for both mantra and octane so far.
