When I write code in an APEX Script node, I can right click in the snippet text area, select "Expression->Edit in External Editor" which brings up my favorite text editor ( Sublime ). The behavior is great: I write some code in Sublime, save, see the text immediately show up in the snippet editor, and it doesn't lock the Houdini UI.

I have attempted to assign a hotkey to that menu via the Alt-Shift-Ctrl mechanism. That doesn't work ( just inputs a E into the snippet window ).

On other text input controls, I have been able to get the keystroke working, but then it launches Sublime in a way that completely locks the Houdini UI, and requires to actually close Sublime in order to update the Houdini text box.

Is there a way to get a keystroke hooked up such that whenever I'm looking to edit in an external editor, it launches the VISUAL editor without locking Houdini?
