Breaking a chocolate bar in half was something that initially seemed straight forward, but ended up presenting some rather interesting challenges. I had to rethink the relationship between real life materials and how that translated into the most streamlined method for creating an effect. For example, caramel does not necessarily translate into a FLIP simulation. Turns out a vellum string with an animated Sweep node does the trick! Check out the break down video to see how I made everything.
