Differences between Linux and Windows 2014年2月20日7:24

Hello everyone,

Working on Houdini I feel like it doesn't use all the potential of the computer!
I'm running a simple FLIP Fluid simulation as test scene and what I can see when I start cooking is:
- on Linux - Houdini use only 1 processor at 100% while the other ones are not in use and the RAM is not not been touched at all.
- on Windows - Houdini doesn't use the CPU at all and use only 3GB of RAM on 6GB total.
Is there a way to make Houdini use all the power of the computer?

CPU Intel i7 Q740 1.73GHz x 8
RAM 6 GB
GPU GT330

Linux 13.10 x64 - Houdini 13.0.328
Windows 7 x64 - Houdini 13.0.328

Thanks,
Davide

Sorry but I don't have a lot of experience about scripts… could you explain me better where to put it and how to use it please? Thank You!

Thanks but I think that this way can't work for me…

In my case I have a node in the CHOP Network that needs to be blocked otherwise it will reloads everything everytime… but it needs to be unlocked sometime to let it load the new scene! I'd like have the control of that red botton on the Digital Asset! Is it possible?
