Local Material overrides not working with sprites (12.5) 2013年4月8日19:45
Hello!
I am attempting to use a material node so I can use local variables to change the texture of sprites.
While the material node works great on geometry, no changes are apparent using any override on sprites. I'm not sure if I am going about it wrong.
When there is no material applied to the particle emitter, the the particles render as a white point, no matter the sprite or material information.
Any idea on what i'm missing to make it work?
I have attached the scene file for reference.

Multiple Sprites randomly applied to particle system. 2013年3月18日19:48
Afternoon!
In Houdini FX 12.1.33, I'm looking to create a particle system with 10-20 image sequences applied as sprites that are randomly assigned on a per particle basis. The image sequences should start at a random frame within their sequence and loop.
(phew)
I currently have a single looping image sequence applied to all of the particles in the system.
Any idea on how to accomplish this? Searches have left me empty handed. Meddling in Houdini has consumed many an hour for few results. I would appreciate any insights!
Thanks.
