Arnold - no shadows for single sided objects 2024年11月8日5:45
Hello,
I have noticed a weird issue where in solaris if rendering with Arnold, I don't get shadows cast from single sided geo. Weirdly with the same model the single sided geo is casting shadows properly if rendering is Arnold in SOPs or even with karma in solaris.
I am wondering if I am missing something, like a parameter somewhere in solaris that I can tell single sided objects to cast shadows
Thanks

Groom sim - sticky guides 2024年11月5日6:16
Hello,
I've been getting into groom sim but I keep running into an issue when simming my guides
Whenever guides touch they seem to stick to each other and stretch for a few frames before getting back to their rest position. In some specific areas when a lot of guides touch they spas out for a frame or two as well (eg elbows getting close to the ribcage on a quadruped animal) I'm just wondering if there's an easy way to make the guides less sticky
I can't seem to find any information on this, so I'm wondering if that's a common issue and there's something I'm missing.
Thanks

Muscle and Tissue - Jiggle 2024年8月9日8:06
@Liesbeth_Levick
Adding a volume for the belly was really helpful.
Also disabling the muscle to bone contains was super helpful too. The constrains were limiting the muscle movement quite a lot so was great to see without any muscle to bone constrains. In fact a lot of the muscles were behaving much better without the constrain at all.
Thank you very much for all the great tips, these're really valuable!
