Spider-Man's Twisted Balls, A Quintrino Variation 2008年3月27日12:18
Thanks. It was actually modeled with Blender. I think there's a topmod tutorial that shows how to make a similar shape.
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 2008年3月26日18:15
When rendering with Houdini 9.1.179, I usually get a BSOD with this stop error: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. I also got an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error once.
It seems that Houdini doesn't like my hardware. I've tested my memory with memtest86+, and ran diagnostics tests on my hardware, but no errors are detected. I also updated my NVIDIA 7300GT video card drivers. The problem didn't go away, and is also present with the Linux version.
Anyone else ever had these serious “Blue Screens Of Death” with XP (latest update) and Houdini? What else can I try?

Spider-Man's Twisted Balls, A Quintrino Variation 2008年3月26日18:03
Hi, I'm new here, and new to Houdini. I posted this on odforce and got a good response so I thought I'd post it here as well.
I've been testing Apprentice's rendering abilities and am trying to get my head wrapped around Houdini's workflow. Here is a simple render of a quintrino with these nodes applied: smooth -> subdivide -> wireframe. It's lit by a single environment light (for a GI effect) and also has a very subtle touch of DOF.
It looks like something Spider-Man would have, doesn't it?
