i'm currently in the process of evaluating if i could handle houdini
so , sorry if this is gonna be too noob

1-when i tear off a pane , throw it to the 2nd monitor .. it doesn't respond
i don't think it's my GFX card , cause i do the same with my main
package and i have no problem with it

2-mantra , does it bounce light ? any sort of FG or IL ?
the classical example would be to light a room from the sun coming
from a window , i couldn't figure out a way to do it

i'm using the 9.0.782 build
