particles from geometry to another with wind 2009年2月25日7:49

Hello everyone,
i'm new to houdini and this forum. coming from node-based compositing i really like houdini's workflow. which doesn't mean it's all easy for me. :?

anyway, here is what i'm trying to do:

i want particles to emit from one geometry, have them manipulated by a wind force and then transform into another geometry (as a volume).

the first part was pretty easy. but how do i make the particles fill up a geometry once they are being moved by the wind and how do i make them stop and stay in place when they have reached the desired position?

after searching the forum for quite a bit and checking out some of the example files, i have tried the attractor POP and the follow POP, but i couldn't really make it work the way i want to. using the follow POP i have to use a second particle system. i thought i could just somehow use exactly the particles from my first geometry source to fill up the destination geometry.

thanks a lot in advance,

Julian
