distributed particle fluid sim and rbd objects proper setup? 2009年6月17日11:25
Hi.
Im trying to do a distributed particle fluid simulation with rbd objects interaction. (e.g. water pushing away boxes resting on a plane.)
What is the “proper” way to set up such a simulation?
The different machines need to share a single rbd simulation right?
My guess would be to turn on the explicit cache option in the AutoDopNetwork, but for some reason this doesnt work since the distributed simulation stalls at the beginning, with explicit cache turned on.
Mark Elendt mentions turning off feedback.
Which feedback does he mean. Max Feedback loops on the sim tab of AutoDopNetwork can only be set to 1.
I tried to write out the simulation from all nodes with $SLICE. The files dont contain the “movement” of the rbds.
Anybody knows how its meant to work?
The distributed sim feature is quite brilliant by the way.
thanks

About 1-2 months ago I dropped the vislab's site webmaster a line, and he said he would contact someone to fix it.
Still down and no further contact.
