To solve that point I've had to manually cleaned up library/sesi/licenses.local file and remove duplicates entries or entries with bad host name (there was a lot).

this did the trick for me… wow thanks! now Houdini starts up quickly and i can use mplay again!

BTW this was the answer I recvied from SESI after submitted a bugreport:

… I didnt know that my newish macbook“PRO” isn't really up to snuf when it comes to Houdini :x , apple must up their game in the mobile GPUs or else the “pro”label should be changed into “semipro”…
