Houdini 18 HQueue Error 2019年12月12日17:08
rvinluan
The RPCException: Server returned error 500: b'error is fixed in the daily builds. Unfortunately it wasn't detected until late in the release cycle and therefore was not fixed in time for the .287 gold build. Please use the daily builds for the HQueue server and clients.
I'm also getting this error on a mac, but, I'm an Apprentice user, so, I'm pretty sure I don't have access to Daily Builds. Any idea when another build for Apprentice users will be released / is there a workaround?
Thanks!

Unable to Start Houdini i "Illegal instruction: 4" 2019年3月17日20:09
I just installed Houdini Apprentice on an old Mac Pro 3,1 w/ OS 10.11.6 and I can't seem to get it to launch, however, HQueue Server is just fine.
Regardless, of how I launch the app I get the following error msg,
>> Illegal Instruction: 4
I have tried,
- launch via Finder in /Applications ( just crashes )
- launch via command line ( get the above error )
- launch as client via hqueue ( log shows above error )
- launching htconfig ( get the above error )
- latest 3 versions of Houdini with same result
Machine specs are,
OS: 10.11.6 El Capitain
Model Name: Mac Pro
Model Identifier: MacPro3,1
Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 3 GHz
Number of Processors: 2
Total Number of Cores: 8
L2 Cache (per Processor): 12 MB
Memory: 8 GB
Bus Speed: 1.6 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
Thanks for any help you can offer! Would love to get this machine running as a render client.
