hi everyone,

i am new to houdini. I got indie in order to get better control with import and export to maya. I recently installed arnold, as it is free for stundents, but i get a warning every time i open houdini. And i also get the watermarks. Is there a way to instal arnold on my indie version?

i guess it is a problem with the hipfile.

I recreated the mistake with simplier objects but it worked fine.

Then I used the caches of the hipFile with the issue and in another hipfile it works perfectly.

weird….. ill just import everything and use it so i get no errors

I am new to houdini. And I am trying to copy some objects to some points.

The points follow a RBD Simu.

The copying works…actually,

but at some point of the timeline, the instaced object start behaving differently from the points. they dont follow the match.

This also happened to me with a POPSim but I just tricked it using a different camera perspective.




anyone any Idead why would this happen? I would upload the hip file, but Ive got to many caches at this point.
