I've been through a lot of Houdini for beginner training course but this one is by far best.
In this 5 hours free course the author sets some really solid foundations on the most basic, yet useful/powerful, tools offered by Houdini.
At the end of the training you'll feel comfortable watching and following any other tutorials.
I also bought the next two sessions of this collection ( Houdini Geometry Essentials 01 - Components and Primitive Types, Attributes: Principles, Normals & Vectors ) and it it just ... as amazing !
Each and every topic is split in small and digestible chunk which makes it easy to go back and forth in between lessons when necessary.
If I recommend it ? You'll be crazy if you want to learn Houdini to not get into it !!!
