Houdini Main Changelogs

9.0.636

The constraints for Wire Dynamics have been improved to allow six different goal anchor specifications. Six new shelf items have been added to easily modify the goal anchor specifications.

When a wire object is created, a point group called "roots" is now created if it did not already exist. The "roots" group will be used if the user selects a DOP object instead of individual points.

The Constrained Wire Object DOP has been removed.

No longer delete surfels that come in contact with a collision surface. The proper boundary enforcement avoids having these stick to the surface. This means the surfels properly preserve volume on collision geometry, reducing fluid loss substantially.

Fixed the problems with the "revert to previous value" of the parameter fields in the parameter pane. The problems included unreliable toggling using Shift+RMB and crashing when the revert action was chosen from the parameter RMB menu. Now, both Shift+RMB and the menu item work fairly well.

An improved collision model allows the fluid to properly fall off surfaces without sticking to them. This is now the default behaviour. The old behaviour is still possible by selecting Sticky Fluid in the fluid solver advanced options.
