Houdini Main Changelogs

9.0.600

The DOP node GAS Vorticle Stretch has been renamed to GAS Velocity Stretch to reflect its more general purpose nature. In addition to being able to rotate/scale geometry, it can also be applied to scalar, vector, and matrix fields to effect reorientations of those entities.

The shelf tools can be now saved in two new types of shelf files. The files with suffix .master_shelf are read by Houdini Master while the files with suffix .escape_shelf are read by Houdini Escape. These files allow application-specific tool or shelf definitions.

The application-specific shelf files are read last, so that they can override any generic tools defined in regular .shelf files.

The default shelf file, however, is always read last. This allows any user specific overrides to take precedense (whether they override regular .shelf definitions or application-specific definitions .master_shelf/.escape_shelf), since most of the edits done by the user are automatically saved in that default file.
