Houdini now has an all-new graphical path editing control. This "path gadget" features several new and different behaviours with respect to the old Houdini path display.

Most notable is that most navigation is done by using the right-mouse button menu. An exception to this is the last "component" of the path, which will pop up a quick navigation menu when it's clicked on.

The path gadget also now features text-mode editing. To enable this feature, either select "Edit Path as Text" from the right mouse button menu, or press Control+l from within any pane (just as you can when you want to go to a new URL in Firefox).

Additionally, a sorted history menu is available from the right-hand side of the path gadget, with your most recent paths at the top.

Finally, you can easily synchronize paths between two different panes by dragging and dropping the "Link" button beside the path gadget to that pane. So, for example, if you were editing a network and wanted to display exactly what its contents were, you could drag the "Link" button from the network editor into the viewer.
