A new command line option has been added to mantra. The -I option allows the setting of multiple imager settings by using a comma separated list of assignments. Currently, the supported options are:

  • resolution=WIDTHxHEIGHT to specify the resolution of the image
  • jitter=SCALE to specify the jitter scale
  • bucket=SIZE to specify the rendering bucket size
  • sample=SAMPLEXxSAMPLEY to specify the sampling (in x and y)
  • sample=SAMPLE to specify both SAMPLEX and SAMPLEY
  • subpixel=1 to turn on sub-pixel output

An example might be: mantra -I resolution=320x243,jitter=1,bucket=16,sample=4,subpixel=0 which would set

  • The output resolution to 320 by 243
  • The jitter scale to be 1
  • The bucket size
  • The super-sampling to 4x4
  • Turn off sub-pixel rendering

Mantra is now able to output raw sample data (without pixel filtering). This causes the output resolution to be scaled by the sampling resolution (that is with pixel sampling set to 4x4, the image will be 4 times wider and 4 times higher). This option is currently only supported through the new -I option.
