Any custom output drivers using the IFD interface will need to be re-written. Currently:

  • Replace IFD_Entry with IFD_RenderDefinition
  • Replace ROP::getRenderType with ROP::getRenderDefinition
  • Remove all references to IFD_RenderParms, please seeIFD_RenderStream (and IFD_Output::openStream()) foradditional information.
  • The signatures for openMultiFrame and doSingleFrame havechanged.
  • The output driver no longer has a callback"setRenderParms()" and code must be slightly re-worked ifthis feature was used. Please see ROP_SimpleRib.C for anexample.

The merge SOP will now display a warning if the inputs have mis-matched attributes. This gives a hint that some attributes may have un-expected values. For example, if one input has point normals, and a second input doesn't have point normals, the warning will be a hint that the normals of the second input might not be correct.
