Houdini Main Changelogs

6.2.62

It is now possible to explicitly specify a particular OTL file to use as the source for the current definition of a given operator type. These explicit overrides take precedence over all global options, and are saved to the hip file. Use the otprefer command or see the Operator Type Manager help card for a description of how to use this feature.

6.2.61

Custom subnet operator types can now be saved with their contents saved in a compressed format. Operator types saved with this option turned on will not be usable in older versions of Houdini. The operator type library will load successfully, and the subnet operator type can be instantiated, but the subnet will contain no nodes.

The otwrite and otcreatetypefrom commands now have two new options, "-c comment" and "-v version" for setting the operator type comment and operator type version strings during the write operation. This saves having to run otcomment or otversion commands after the otwrite or otcreatetypefrom command.

6.2.61

It is now possible to save custom subnet operators to OTL files with their contents in a compressed format. This can reduce the size of a large OTL file dramatically, but results in operator types that cannot be loaded into earlier versions of Houdini. This compression option can be set from the Type Properties dialog, the otwrite command and the otcreatetypefrom command.

Fixed bug where if an object's "picking" parameter contained a !!ch()!! reference, then its opscript output would not recreate this. This also affected the Change Type... menu item and opchangetype commands where objects after a change would lose such information.
