Houdini Main Changelogs

6.2.42

Null objects are no longer output to RIB or IFD streams by default. There is a new parameter (renderspace) in the Null object which determines whether the space will be defined in the rendering stream.

As well, when nulls are output to RIB or IFD, the pre-include and post-include files can be used to insert black-box statements into the RIB stream around the transform declarations.

6.2.41

There were several changes made to convexing of polygons. The major changes were to improve convexing of non-planar polygons. However, because the change affects how polygons will be convexed, geometry will now be convexed differently. For example, SOPs following a divide SOP may require re-selection of their input geometry since the results of the divide SOP may be different. The changes are not only limited to the divide SOP, but anywhere that convexing is performed in Houdini.

6.2.41

There were a few subtle bugs fixed with convexing of polygons. The major change was to improve convexing with regards to very non-planar polygons. Because of the changes, most geometry will have different triangulation or convexing than before the change.
