Houdini Main Changelogs

5.1.57

MPlay now handles lock files more intelligently.

  • The hostname of the machine MPlay is launched on is appended tothe lock file (.mplay.host) so that the same user with a remoteshared home directory can run MPlay on different machines withouta conflict.
  • COP Flipbooking uses a different lock file (.flipbook.host) so thatrendering and flipbooking can be done simultaneously withoutinterfering with one another.
  • Stale lock files are properly detected and overriden (MPlay willcontinue to load instead of exitting). Valid lock files stillhalt MPlay.

The AttribCreate Operation now takes a group parameter. If a new attribute is being created, entities not in the group get the default value. Otherwise, they pass through unchanged. This allows the AttribCreate to be an attribute editor for manipulating user generated attributes.
