Polar Camera Clouds
Gamedev
Quick set up for a polar camera to create your own HDRI skies in Houdini and take them to UE using the new skybox tool and Karma XPU.The results are rendered on exr and then converted to HDRI. Brought into UE to be tested in a level.
Bonus: how to make the rolling clouds loop seamlessly with the labs make loop tool.

Umm, is a 24 GB file necessary for a setup? Seems a bit excessive.

I downloaded it twice and both times I get an error under Linux, it says bad archive!

Howdy! they contain the animated sky cache. Since it has a full sky already ready to be used in a UE level, the cache is quite big. And I figured better have it on hand than having to cache it and wait for it.
It also contains a one frame 16k by 8k exr made HDRi to use in UE.

I have checked the data.
The original skybox data is quite heavy, and I would like to know the working environment (machine specifications) when it was created.
Also, what specifications do you recommend for creating HDRI skies in Houdini?
