Digital Asset Save Preferences dialog

This dialog appears when you right-click an asset in the network editor and choose Digital Assets ▸ Preferences. It lets you set the default settings and available presets the save asset dialog will start with.

Name Construction

Author Entries

Edit the list to set what preset values are available in the drop-down menu to the right of the Author field in new save asset dialogs. Click an entry to rename it. Use the plus button to add an entry. Select an entry and click the minus button to remove it. Drag items up or down to reorder them. Click the checkbox next to the value you want to be the default.

Branch Entries

Edit the list to set what preset values are available in the drop-down menu to the right of the Branch field in new save asset dialogs. Click an entry to rename it. Use the plus button to add an entry. Select an entry and click the minus button to remove it. Drag items up or down to reorder them. Click the checkbox next to the value you want to be the default.

Author Namespace

Whether Author is on by default in new save asset dialogs.

Branch Namespace

Whether Branch is on by default in new save asset dialogs.

Versioning

Whether Version is on by default in new save asset dialogs.

Tab Menu

Menu Entry

The default value for the menu entry in new save asset dialogs.

Asset Label

Whether new save asset dialogs default to the human readable label being built from the internal name, or manually entered by hand.

Display Branch in Label

Whether the display branch in label checkbox is on by default in new save asset dialogs.

Save To

Library Path

Choose the default directory for new save asset dialogs.

If you choose Custom Preference, you can set an extra custom directory which is available in the save asset dialog as the From Preferences item.

Library Name

Choose the default method for building the filename in new save asset dialogs.

If you choose Custom Preference, you can set your own custom template string for generating the library filename. You can use the following variables in the template : $HDAUSER (the Author), $HDABRANCH (the Branch), $HDATYPENAME (the base name), $HDAMAJOR (the major version), $HDAMINOR (the minor version).

Prefix Type Category

Whether the prefix type category checkbox is on by default in new save asset dialogs.

Windows
