hi

i have downloaded houdini apprentice 12.1.33 from sidefx website after installation when i am clicking on shortcut at desktop to run it, nothing is happening, i checked the task manager, i found hkey running in process tab but not visible anywhere. can anybody help me as i was planning to buy HD version. i have installed it as a apprentice license.

Sometimes HoudiniLicenseServer is disable !

Make sure that it is enable in the Services on win7

If it is Start, restart HoudiniLicenseServer.

i got it fixed i turned off firewall from my antivirus settings and downloaded it again from sidefx and installed it with my anitivirus disabled , it worked.

i got the apprentice license form sidefx site i put it manually
