Soft Selection

Hello there…

Coming from 3dsmax, soft selection of vertices or edges has an option called ‘edge distance’ which means that the soft select walks along the connected geometry and will not jump unconnected distances…does houdini have a similar soft selection function that I have missed somewhere?

I submitted this RFE a long time ago.

Really hope we will see this in up coming releases.
Please submit a RFE with a link to this thread. Maybe if more people ask for this, it would be pushed higher up the list.

It's not edge distance in terms of counting the number of edges like in Max, but actual surface distance which will be curve distance in your case.
