I have an object that gets chopped up every 50 frames, each times resulting with a different piece count. I exported this as an alembic sequence to cinema4d where i want to manipulate each piece and render the animation. But first i pack the geometry per class so that i get each chopped piece as a packed geo.
The problem is that because the object count changes every 50 frames but the cinema 4d hierarchy remains the same 40 pieces get imported as almbic objects but the reality in Houdini is that during the first 50 frames i have 40 then 30 then 22 and so on. This results in duplicate objects in Cinema4D and the count remains the same, always as many objects have been imported. Ofcourse in Houdini this doesnt happen, so i guess its an alembic export thing. i hope this makes sense.
Any advice?
