Hello All! I'm fairly new to Houdini, have worked before mostly with ParaView.
My question is: if I have data defined on a 3D grid, how do I extract an isosurface?

For example, if I have a 3D fluid pressure data set, and I would like to extract the isosurfaces for pressure values 0.1,0.5 and 0.8 what is a method to do that in Houdini?
In ParaView this is very easy, because there is a preset component (filter) called “Contours” which extracts such isosurfaces,
example short video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AD4aSt1RXE [www.youtube.com]

Being a newbie, could be I didn't look in the right places, so far I haven't been able to find anything on this.

Thanks for any pointers,
J.

Is the IsoSurface Sop in 3d Texture mode what you're looking for?

if your data is on native houdini volume you can use Convert Volume SOP and set Iso Value to whatever you need

Thank you so much Tomas, this is what I was looking for!

Tanto, I will have to explore the IsoSurface Sop in 3d Texture as well, thanks a lot for the suggestion.
