Nope…and based on what was shown at the 17.5 release, I don't get the sense it's happening…at least not in the way we think.
I believe it's more of a viewport OpenCL set of acceleration similar to EEVEE for Blender, so that working in the viewport is a close approximation of what the final render will look like.
I could be completely wrong on this, but I suspect Mantra running on the GPU is still ways away.
Any anyone know about Solaris?

Based on that Solaris might be exactly what Side fx advertising a a native-USD layout, lookdev and lighting platform ,
something similar to Katana but fully procedural.
