Hi

i have the issue that the guide groom node picks up the wrong end of the curve as root.
How can i change the root ?
My first impulse was to change the sort order of the points, but that did not have any effect.

Did you build the curves backwards? The sort order of the vertices is important. Try reversing the curves.
