Im trying to build a HDA to scatter assets onto my landscape in UE4 but every time I try i get one of 2 results. If i leave the surface input as a heightfield nothing happens and nothing cooks, or if i turn the surface to a mesh (with the export selected components only) i get the message that houdini started cooking then HAPI just crashes. It also dissapears from task manager. I attached my files, maybe my approach to the hda is flawed.
Hey. You if any1 was following this I managed to fix it. I export the heightmap from UE4 into my hda setup(I export a png and load it back in Houdini, its not slick but it works). I do a boolean with and object and the resulting piece i turn into a mesh that gets points scattered across it.
