Hello,

I try to align edges but only on Y axis, I try the “Constrain straighten to view plane” but without success.
Can you tell me what I miss please ?

Thank you

You can try to use scale.

1. Select the points and press e to scale
2. Switch on point snapping
3. disconnect the pivot by using the ‘ hotkey.
4. Snap the scale handle to any of the point positions to scale from.
5. hit ’ again to accept the pivot position
6. Scale on y

@Werner Thank you for your response.
In my case (you can look at hip file in first post), there a Y slope between first and last edge so I can't just scaling to 0 in y.

I would like to know how to well use the “Constrain straighten to view plane” option to quick acheive what I want (if it's possible).

is this what you want ? Note you still have an odd point on the far right, I'll leave that to your mods.

@vusta, thank you for your response.
No, I want the slope but I want to keep my “road” curvature.
That's why I ask for the "“Constrain straighten to view plane” to only straighten Y value without move in X,Y.
But I don't know how to use it.

Something like This?

If yes: change View to “Right viewport” before “Constrain straighten to view plane”

then isn't it just scale Y to 0 in the edit ?

@vusta it's not a simple scale to 0 because I want a progressive slope in Y between first and last edge points.

@DmitriiP, Yes !! I have not test on this side, (only on front).
It give a good result, thank you !
There still a offset on x and z when it's done (which I want not) but I think we can't do better with this method.

Oh, I thought you wanted to flatten all on y.

How about this. Same process as before, but align the handle with ; hotkey to the last point.

Hello @Werner,

Thanks very much for this tip (and video record), I never use alignement tool with this pointing target function !
It's the better I can do (still a bit of offset on x and z when it's done :/ )
