The theme is “slime”… Coincidentally, that was the theme for one of the first game jams I ever entered.

This is a start on a publicity still for the (still somewhat unfinished) game.

I was originally going to actually try to implement the game using Houdini scripting, but I can't figure out (yet!) how to get something useful out of the gamepad chop…

The first attachment (-4.png) is the one I got rendered before the daily deadline. The second is a higher quality render that I ran after I messed with it a bit more, just before giving up at 0200 in the morning. So, if you're considering this entry for the daily prize, please be sure to evaluate only the first attachment! ; - )

Had a play with physarum
I had fun trying out different values for the parameters and see what patterns it makes. When the turn angle and search angle become too big, it becomes pure noise. Before that, it makes a branch like pattern, at some point it also becomes a circle node like pattern.
