Well I think it is a question direct to SESI. When I could have ask directly to the concerned people, I think some of us maybe interested to know the following:
Will Houdini 9 ( Win32 version ) be compiled with VC++ 2003 or 2005? What about 64bit platform?
I am asking this cause I need to ditch VC++ 2003, the work ( the one that brings bananas) I am about to do need VC++ 2005 and there is some clatches, annoying ones! So… can be bothered to keep both!
Now I am only doing HDK for fun ( I know it is sad! ) but I would like to be able to carry on.
Well.. to cut it short.. when can we expect to see Windows Houdini compiled with VC8/VC++ 2005.

ditto. I am guessing that if SESI were to do a x64 build, they probably need vc2005, yes?
