Can anyone tell me why the smoke color isn't working in this scene? I can get it to work in dense simulations but not the sparse. It appears to keep the color at the volume source but not transfer it to any of the smoke that is produced and moved.

The Color information does not get advected by the sparse solver in default mode. You have to add it manually in the solver node.
Under: Advanced/Advection/Extra Fields add there Cd and Alpha.

Thank you CYTE. That helps but there's still some weirdness to it. Maybe Side FX will make some improvements to the overall feature set of the sparse solver. Totally frustrating sometimes.

Hi,
you also need to put those fields into the Resizing, Extra Fields parameter on the sparse solver. Since they're not default fields.
