They do solve more bugs and faster than others, and the daily builds are better than anything in the industry.
Why this particular bug isn't solved I have no idea, but I won't make general assumptions from this case. And since is specific to a particular platform, it means that workarounds are available and that maybe it has to do with the platform, too. BTW, I consider Wacom as one of the worst manufacturers when it comes to drivers and general quality.

I've managed to find how to recreate the bug and I actually have a workaround. I've posted the bug at SideFX.
The problem arises when you right click with your stylus on the brush tool to get the menu. If you don't click on an item in the menu and leave back to the viewer, the brush will stop working.
In order to make it work again, right-click again and chose whatever option in the brush menu and it should be fine.
Let me know if it doesn't work but I've been able to repeat that behavior 10 times in a row.

Changing the driver doesn't seem to make any difference. Besides the issue that you discribe isn't the same as mine. As soon as I leave the view port to add a node, when I reselect the tool and hit enter in the view port the paint/sculpt cursor appears but it has no effect. Using the rightmouse menu doensn't help.
Although Linux and Mac don't seem to have any issues Windows X64 and Vista 64 do.
I haven't tried H10 jet, I will somewhere this week.

digitallysane2021 and still doesn't work, or is it just me?NeroxThe Brush / Paint tools (including Sculpt) are more or less broken on Windows for years. It's a known bug and it was also discussed here I think. Why they're still not working after all this time is beyond me.
At this moment I'm working on a Mac Pro Intel (H9.5.303) and the sculpt tool works great, just like I expect it to be. Did exactly like you discribed and it works fine. I tried to stress it but it remained working
