Hey all, long time lurker, first time posting:

I just started going back through Steve Knipping's Applied Houdini: Particles courses, but am trying to do all of the rendering through Karma as a way to get my feet wet with the new systems. I was able to get my materials in and get velocity motion blur to work, but can't seem to find a way to emulate the "Shutter Offset: -1" setting from Mantra to prevent motion blur on my first frame.

I've tried playing with the camera shutter open and close settings in my Solaris camera, but haven't had any luck. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas?

Thanks for the help,
Trey

edit: I forgot to mention I'm having this issue in both XPU and CPU renders.

So after talking to some others I think that the best way to get this effect is simply just to set your vel to 0 for that first frame, if anyone finds this post in the future looking for the same issue.
