I've been working a lot on scale types: you cannow create types with different shape settings and link them to existing guides:

Howdy, here's a little demo for the scale types: in the video I'm linking scale types to guides, dragging over the links to set the range, adjusting shapes settings, deleting links etc..

I added a layer based color section, so you can use noises and guides to create patterns and colors

I have sent out test versions to a couple of people, I'm waiting for their feedback ( have already fixed some bugs) and then V 1.0 should be available soon on my Gumroad !

Couple more renders in the meantime :

Hey Wout Tengrootenhuysen,

The asset looks awesome and I would like to try it! But the price... I know you put a lot of work into this asset.
But c`mon it costs nearly as much as a full-blown 3D package. And you should consider that a lower price attracts more customers and in the end, you earn more. I´m a sucker for all good addons and hdas... but this is too much.

No Offense, but I think you would profit from a lowered price.

Cheers

Hey Cyte,

I understand but please consider that this tool literally saves you days of time. If you buy a one month subscription you could do 5-6-7 months of work with it. Is that not worth $249 ? I think it is :p

Hey Wout Tengrootenhuysen,

Yes, If it really saves that much time of course it is worth the price. But this only applies to a very limited number of potential customers. Professionals that do scaley creatures for film or games with Houdini. This is a very small group. You exclude most Hobbyists, Freelancers, and People who want to tinker around with it.
But hey I don't want to argue with you about that. It's your tool, you can charge whatever you want.

Cheers
