Launcher crashes when selecting "Install Directory" to change path for installing a new version of Houdini application. Is this happening with anyone else? I was just trying to install 19.5.493 using Launcher. I'll have to install manual method.

Yes, similar here. I have installed new versions from Houdini Launcher, but non of the newly installed version does open, or they do open for a split second, then close down without any warnings/error messages.

Did you figure out the reason for your crash?
