There is a park in my city that I love to go to in the summer. It's quite overgrown, quite wild, and I wanted to make something that reminded me of it. This was my first time making VDB clouds in Houdini, and first time trying to make a cloud shader. Weird process, took a lot of tweaking but fun to know how to do! Also used a couple meganscan grasses, but the trees were made by me.

Week 2 Nature
Day 11 grass
"Sometimes people wonder why they don't cross path with the little Kodamas anymore... And blame the advances of technology that broke the bond between man and nature. Ah, if only they knew..."
Any and all similarities to a little guiding spirit in Nioh is pure luck.
Everything modeled by hand, a bit of kinefx rig for the little guys ( initially a pile of spheres and VDBs ), a bit of fur for the cat's tail. A couple Megascans textures as usual. Nothing fancy !
edit : just have to share the little guys and that in-cre-di-ble cat model.
