Hello everyone
I made an rbd car sim, I use Point velocity node to lift it and crash it into the ceiling and it's working as I planned it, my issue is that I'm trying to delay the lifting force to happen later, I tried keyframes and switch node but once that happen the force never come back unless it's on frame 1, I'm missing a lot of things to make it perfect but i'm going step by step, I'm a also wondering if the windshield glass should be simulated during the crash or after, if it is after then how can I import the cached rbd sim into a new dopnet to sim the glass
I'll be grateful for any ideas, guidance on how to fix this and make it better
Thank you very much
Setting up start frame for Point velocity other than frame 1

you can load forces into the solver which will make it easier to manipulate, attributes on the incoming geo will only be read on the creation frame by default. you could also check animated attributes on the rbdpackedobject node and put v there or try some techniques from the other thread.
for the windshield it probably makes sense to simulate it all in ones so you also get proper interaction (i doubt the glass will influence the rest much though). you could import the cache of the rest as a collider in a new sim for the glass imo it's easier to do it all in one sim. make sure to set up proper constraints and groups and you will have all necessary data to process the different parts of the sim afterwards
