This is my first ever use of the Houdini ocean toolset so it's been a busy day of learning, reading the docs and debugging issues! I love environment art but that requires a lot of time to create and require assets... - Adrien Lambert masterclass is next on my "watch later" playlist :-)
I wandered unsuccessfully into many art directions until I decided to focused my efforts on creating a terrain for the sea floor using heightfields (painted in Houdini), and reworked the ocean shaders to make them look more like shallow caribbean waters.
I sculpted and painted the sea turtle some time ago in Nomad Sculpt so this was the opportunity to stage that cute little creature.
