Thats strange, hardly any bugs in Modeler overhere, all of the bugs I encounter are Houdini bugs, and theres one around every corner it seems.
Deep breath, man. Relax. Modeler 2025 has a future in Houdini space for folks who require a direct modeling workflow and the work the programmer has done is immense and contributes nicely... However, the product is over-priced due to its state. And, no, I won't go on Discord to be a beta-tester for issues I have a problem with (which are many) because I'm involved in too many outside projects and I dislike Discord (the developer cannot be emailed). Houdini isn't the bug. Modeler 2025 is clearly STILL in development state and I think people interested in this product should know what they are dealing with before they spend hard-earned money on a pricey plugin.
Drop the price to 50 bucks, be less sensitive, and embrace critical reviews. When Modeler works quite well without weird issues which require constant updates to fix then raise the price. It is that simple.

Congrats Alexey, you seem to have listened to the feedback which is always great sign. Now that you made some of the critical changes I was hoping for, I would also like to try demo if possible.
Once again, congrats seems like a huge release!! Keep up the good work.

Listen, stop talking nonsense and acting smart. Let's get to the point—what bugs are there?
The touted Manipulator tool disappointed me massively. It didn't work even after downloading changes on Gumroad. Extruding and then minimizing extruded faces only selects outside ring leaving the inside polys fixed- weird and unusable. What?!
You don't really want me to list my observations here, Alexy. However, I am literally NOT here to disparage what I believe is the best part of Modeler... the interface interactivity. Lots of crap bugs and odd youtube marketing videos aside that really don't help anyone- focus on seamless artistic engagement with that brilliant interfacing.
I think Modeler is best for artists when the artist presses q or shortcut and that beautiful menu you created appears and does EXACTLY what the artist expects. Plus, tiny indies who pay the Houdini indie costs aren't the massive studio bros making all the crap you see in theaters and on netflix- we are working in the shadows for the next million dollar idea and we have budgets made of bologna sandwiches. Peace. No disrespect meant by me if you sensed any.

1. The Manipulator tool works as intended. Moreover, it is regularly tested by one of my clients. What specific issues are you experiencing with this tool?
2. There have never been any problems with the Extrude tool. Honestly, I don't quite understand what your issue is.
3. Since the release, there has been ongoing discussion in Discord, and if people encounter any problems, they are resolved immediately. At the same time, no one has had a negative experience using the plugin; on the contrary, everyone is extremely satisfied—both old and new clients alike. I recommend joining the Discord to discuss any issues.

I also don't understand the complaints about the Modeler 2025 UI. It doesn’t have any interface elements like Modeler 2023. Only icons and context menu. There’s the Houdini interface: shelves, radial menus, and hotkeys. All of this allows you to either use the default settings or customize the environment to suit your needs.

So I have to say that I have never used Modeler. In fact I absolutely never liked modeling in Houdini.
Got softbools and modeler 2025 earlier today.
I’m starting to love modeling in Houdini!
Also the support on Discord has already been amazing.
Thanks Alexey!
Modeling in Houdini is awesome. Unlike other programs, in addition to interactive viewport capabilities, you have full control in the node editor. The ability to use different streams of geometric data during direct modeling is not available in any other DCC software.

Modeling in Houdini is truly uniqe even though learning curve can be a bit longer, but in my opinion, it pays of big time. Its just super unique and things you can do its actually amazing, I always feel like ninja when modeling. Now that I added Modeler to my arsenal after making sure to know every little thing about modeling in Houdini I can really say its a beast now. Modeler really gives it another flavor and 2025 really covered and fixed many of the issues I had with previous versions. I spent quite some time with it already and I can say I didn't have many issues, but what I have found is that I can use both worlds now, Modeler and Houdini vanilla witch is actually for me pretty awesome discovery which will allow me to not only be faster, but also it will allow me to stay procedural in cases where I couldn't before with vanilla stuff and probably will discover some more cool techniques for certian problems.
Among many things, Alexey really nailed it with the Menu Editor this time. Its super easy to add any SOP you might need for modeling inside sop list which is really golden feature. Ill continue to test and see how I can utilize best from both worlds and keep informing folks about Modeler, but if you can afford it, go and buy it. Installation is also super easy and straight forward. Well done Alexey! Keep improving and good luck with this release...

Will you be releasing a comprehensive documentation page like you had for Modeler 2023? I liked how 2023 had a help button that you could use to jump to the docs...
Also, one thing I can't seem to find is how to jump between geo nodes without going up to object level? It was double click at one point and then I think it might have changed again. I love the feature but can't figure out what the hotkey is for Modeler 2025?

Eroc999You can still double click as that is Houdini's feature, you just need to enable it from here:

If you want to use Modeler for this, then hovering over the object or empty space in the viewport then pressing O on your keyboard will have the same effect.
